RANDOLPH — Despite a challenging start to the swim leg of the Maine
State Triathlon, Meg Skidmore made up enough time in the bike and run
legs of the competition to finish a very respectable second in her age
group and 11th female overall. Skidmore has been keeping up a grueling
training schedule, in addition to her duties as a mountain bike guide
and social media manager at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center.
This
season's entire competition and training schedule has been leading up
to the U.S. Nationals being held this Sunday in Burlington, Vt.
"I'm
very excited to be racing in the National Championships and will spend
most of this week preparing myself mentally for the biggest race of my
career so far." Skidmore noted. enthusiastically.
With a top 18 finish in her age group, Skidmore will qualify for the 2013 World Championships being held in London, England.
